Squak Mt. Train Station Grand Opening!
Beginning in January 2012, we welcome all families to come enjoy our new Squak Mountain Station, tucked away in the Hollow Forest. During Open Farm days, guests will be able to picnic in the forest, play in our new baby goat/bunny area, enjoy creative play with a miniature train set, saddle up on a friendly pony, and ride a child-sized train! For private events, Squak Mountain Station is a great place to throw a train, Old West, or horse-themed birthday party in the rustic and nostalgic surroundings of this charming country railroad house.
Squak Mountain Station will be accessible during all Open Farm events, and offers a great indoor play area for rainy days. Check out the photos below!
About Fox Hollow Family Farm
Fox Hollow is an intimate, park-like, equestrian farm nestled between Squak and Tiger mountains in Issaquah, Washington with many open spaces to run and play, scenic areas to picnic in and explore, tons of family-friendly activities to choose from, and a variety of friendly animals to interact with.
Here at Fox Hollow we encourage families to get up close and personal with all of the critters who call this place home. That means you can expect to feed some horses, cuddle a baby bunny or two, watch our hens lay eggs, scratch a pig's tummy, jump and play with baby goats, follow the kittens through the hay bale maze, and run in the fields with the sheep. As soon as our vegetable garden begins growing in the Spring we will have a bountiful selection of fresh organic treats that families can pick themselves to feed to our animals. We promote "green" efforts on our farm and harvest 100% organic crops that were fertilized by our own animals and plants. We're very conscientious about cleanliness and safety and we offer hand sanitizing stations in many areas throughout the farm. Families are encouraged to bring picnic lunches or snacks while visiting the farm and we also have a selection of concessions available (such as fruit, hotdogs, kettle corn, s'mores, cotton candy, drinks, etc).
The goal of Fox Hollow is to bring people and nature together in a beautiful setting where families can just enjoy spending time with one another. We offer different activities throughout the year but no matter what season you visit Fox Hollow there will always be a large selection of things to do to including pony rides, train rides, rope swings, haybale maze, huge inflatable slides and bouncy castles, tubing in the river, gardening, picnicking, roasting marshmallows over a fire.... not to mention playing with all of our lovely animals. We offer Summer Camps throughout July and August and run a very selective Riding School for those of you wishing to not just touch a horse but actually ride one.
Although we are a private facility, we do host a number of Open Farm events and Holiday Celebrations (such as our annual and very popular Easter Egg Hunt) each month so check our Calendar for dates and times that we are open to the public and which activities we are hosting that particular month.
